Often associated with infatuation, limerence is a deep desire for harmony—internal and external—whether such harmony is with a person, our work, or an activity. The brain sets up predictive models that, when learned, move us from difficulty to harmony as we conquer the difficult and make it easy. Often, this is described as having a “flow” in the task that one is working on. The same is true with falling in love with another person.

If you consider yourself a hip-hop head, Limerence is for you. It’s a true appreciation of all things classic hip-hop. Lyricism, and songs recorded in one take. It contains lyrics that span nearly a decade.
Redefining Alternative Hip-Hop
The theme of the album is “joy in wordplay”. Limerence is a tribute—a true appreciation—of all things classic hip-hop. It contains 14 songs of lyrics—written over the course of a decade— on poetry, theology, spirituality, love, consciousness, and general social observations. Songs like “Life is Beautiful (Rise of the Fall) captures all of these at once.
Featured songs
Limerence is bookended by 2 songs: Psychedelic Alliterations is my own take on Blackalicious’ “Alphabet Aerobics”, which I cover near the end of the album.
“Come As You Are” describes my socially- and spiritually-driven mission as an alternative Christian hip-hop artist.
“81118” is a song written about my wedding date. The date, August 11th, doubles as hip-hop’s birthday.
“Victory”, written as a diss track to Satan, is a crowd favorite. It’s been streamed nearly 56 million times around the world.
